The Organization & Membership Development Division supports the Chamber’s day to day operations, continues to build a strong membership foundation and promotes local businesses.
Chamber Board of Directors

To govern and set policy for the Chamber, make decisions representing the membership and provide direction, support and necessary resources to carry out the Chamber’s Plan of Work. |

Membership/Public Relations/Special Events Committee
| Objective: |
To recruit new chamber members, retain existing members and serve as the official goodwill diplomats for the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce. To be the main fundraising entity of the Chamber via membership dues and non-due revenue events. |

To aggressively recruit new members.
To conduct personal calls with existing members and seek their views on how the Chamber can better serve them.
To work with the Chamber staff to update membership contact information.
To attend and promote participating in Chamber functions including ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, Membership Mixers and New Member Orientations.
To support new members by inviting them to Chamber functions
To coordinate fundraising events
To create Total Resource Campaign that permits businesses, non-profit institutions and individuals a membership fee that is affordable with tangible benefits.

Government Affairs Division
The Government Affairs Division is the umbrella committee for the governmental/legislative process at the federal, state and local levels to improve our business climate and overall quality of life.
Legislative Committee
| Objective: |
The mission of the Legislative Committee is to promote legislation and responsible government at all levels that enhance an environment for economic development and growth of our city and region.

Solicit ideas and recommendations from the membership and present to the Chamber Board of Directors on federal, state and local legislative issues that affect the local business environment, and communicate the Chamber’s position to appropriate officials and the general public.
Communicate with Chamber members on legislative issues during the legislative sessions that affect our area.
Promote the Oklahoma Prosperity Project to all Chamber members.
Conduct public forums to discuss pertinent issues on a non-partisan basis.
Restore "Ada Day" in the Capitol Rotunda during the legislative session to promote Ada.
Work to increase Ada area’s citizen’s involvement with government at all levels by encouraging participation

Community Enhancement Committee
| Objective: |
To encourage and work with local, state and national entities to identify and address deficiencies in the community which adversely impact the economic life of our citizens. |

| Committee Goals: |
Coordinate, encourage and energize participation from community volunteers to conduct a city-wide beautification campaign
Work with federal, state, regional and city officials to collaborate on common issues such as highway signs, 4 lane highway, street lights, etc.
Encourage continued improvements to Highway 99 from Ada to the Turner Turnpike
To provide support to the Ada area public school systems and higher education systems
To work with local, state and national entities on energy conservation and recycling projects that improve the quality of life in Ada
To work with the local government on securing certification for the park system, ensuring our parks are family friendly and safe
To represent the community of Ada to local and state agencies on quality of life issues such as safe streets, parking, park use, street lights, sidewalks, etc.

Business and Leadership Division
The Business and Leadership Division develops personal leaders, assists and supports our area businesses and provides the retail sector with programs and projects that increase sales and keeps retail monies in the Ada area.
Retail & Hospitality Committee

To promote shopping, dining and lodging in the Ada area to surrounding communities and visitors |

Coordinate city wide retail promotions for all shopping areas
To provide annual shopping events that promotes shopping in Ada and provides incentives for area shoppers

Leadership Committee
| Objective: |
To develop a pool of committed well-informed leaders who will actively participate in the growth of the community by accepting leadership roles in civic, charitable, or governmental organizations through seminars, classes or structured programs. |

To support Chamber of Commerce business members by providing a repository of knowledge that will enable small to medium sized businesses with a toolkit of resources. |

To identify opportunities for certificate/certification programs targeted for businesses thought the seminars
To develop a technology orientated showcase that provides the latest in technology innovations for Ada area businesses
Partner with Workforce Oklahoma, East Central University and Pontotoc Technology Center to promote available services to the business community
Partner with Workforce Oklahoma, East Central University and Pontotoc Technology Center for funding job training services with active and retired military personnel
Provide military veteran entrepreneurial training programs through partnerships and resources available from the Veterans Corporation nationwide “Train our Veterans” small business community program.

Plan of Work Purpose:
The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce’s Plan of Work is a long range plan of desired goals for the chamber to accomplish. The Plan of Work goals create the foundation for budgeting and serve as achievement benchmarks for progress. The Plan of Work is comprised of three divisions; each division is comprised of committees that carry out the purpose, function and management of the chamber of commerce. This document is for the members and prospective members to review as it gives insight to the structure of the chamber, meeting times and places of committees and division detail. It is available via hard copy and soft copy on the chamber’s web site.
