The Ada School system provides high quality education. It consists of 4 elementary, 1 junior high and 1 high school. Also in the Ada vicinity are Byng Public Schools and Latta Public Schools. Pontotoc county has an open transfer policy for its public schools.
Ada also provides a four year state instituion of higher learning. East Central University is ideal for the full time student or those wanting to take a few classes to complete a degree or earn a masters. Offering 38 undergraduate programs and 9 graduate programs, the diversity and reasonable tuition makes ECU a desired place to get an education.
Ada is also home to the Pontotoc Technology Center, this center is part of the award-winning Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education. The Technology center offers full-time programs in 7 career areas and short term training courses to develop career-related skills.
